Aldi has issued an urgent "do not eat" warning concerning a popular product as police have commenced an investigation. The supermarket chain has recalled a specific batch of Village Bakery 8 Tortilla Wraps White due to concerns over potential tampering, which may have resulted in metal being present in the product.

The recall, which was announced to customers last month, affects products with a best before end date of 29th April, 2024. Aldi is advising customers who have bought the affected tortilla wraps to refrain from eating them and to return them to their place of purchase for a full refund, according to the Daily Star.

As there is an active police investigation we are not able to comment any further on this matter at this time."
