With Brits choosing to ditch alcohol in ever-greater numbers, the team at Aldi are launching a never-before-seen wine that'll be a shopper's dream.

The low-budget retailer is releasing a brand new 0% Pinot Grigio Blush - a zero per cent Rosé that has not been on the shelves before. This comes as 'No- and Low' alcohol drinks are becoming increasingly popular.

New statistics reveal that an increasing number of Brits are choosing to abstain from alcohol, with one in three Gen Z-ers opting for sobriety. Approximately a third of individuals aged 18-24 do not consume alcohol at all.

However, those who do tend to drink primarily as a treat, to unwind, or to celebrate special occasions, according to data provided by Mintel. And Aldi's move is clearly a response to this new trend.

The new bottle of wine is to launch on July 15 and is priced at just £2.99. Aldi is marketing its Pinot Grigio Blush by saying it offers shoppers all the 'refreshing flavours' of traditional rose, but without the alcohol content. Customers will be able to purchase the alcohol-free wine in stores in less than three weeks.

Aldi's brand-new 0% Pinot Grigio Blush is pale pink in colour and features notes of 'sweet' strawberry, balanced with a dry finish. For shoppers who prefer a refreshing white, Aldi is also reintroducing its popular 0% Chardonnay wine, priced at £2.99 as well.

With aromas of white peach and vanilla, Aldi's non-alcoholic white offers flavours of melon, pear drops and lemon bon bons. This launch comes as demand for Aldi's No and Low drinks range continues to grow, particularly its Zerozecco, which has seen an impressive 20% increase in sales year on year.

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, commented: "As shown by our sales, we are seeing an increasing number of shoppers coming into stores looking for new and exciting ways to enjoy lower or non-alcoholic drinks. Our new 0% Pinot Grigio Blush is just one example of how we are continuing to innovate our offering, so shoppers have versatility without compromising on the exceptional quality that Aldi is known for."

The NHS recommends drinking no more than 14 units of alcohol a week for men and women. Remember to drink responsibly (18+) and be Drinkaware.
