Supermarket Aldi is launching a ‘must-have’ essential for Brits looking to invest in some outdoor entertaining gear. As the summer months roll around, al fresco dining is likely to be on everyone’s list.

Hitting Aldi shelves across the UK from Thursday, May 30, shoppers will be able to elevate their hosting game with the all-new Wine Holder (£8.99) - without worrying about spills. But vino lovers will need to move fast to get their hands on this garden party must-have, as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone.

A perfect addition to any summer celebration, the Wine Holder lands as research from the supermarket revealed Brits love a drop of rosé, with two-thirds describing the tipple as the nation’s ‘perfect summer drink’. Aldi also reports that fans enjoy 63 glasses on average throughout the summer season.

Perfectly crafted for outdoor entertaining, the Wine Holder’s unique, gothic style includes ornate stems to perfectly balance up to four wine glasses and is complete with a storage capsule at the centre to securely cradle any bottle of wine.

If you’re looking for inspiration for your al fresco dining, Aldi has a range of a UK first, own-brand paper wine bottle. The bottles fit perfectly into the centre so shoppers can enjoy their favourite wines outdoors with this environmentally friendly touch.

With bright red fruit, blackberry and cherry flavours and spicy oak notes, the Cambalala South African Shiraz (£7.49, 75cl) is a full-flavoured, silky-smooth red. For something a little fresher, the Cambalala South African Sauvignon Blanc (£7.49, 75cl) has notes of winter melon, green apple, and citrus. Offering a vibrant acidity that keeps the palate fresh.

Or for the perfect rosé, Aldi’s Specially Selected La Bonne Vie Rosé (£8.99, 75cl) is perfect to enjoy with light bites while dining al fresco. But if you’re looking for a glass bottle, former Married At First Sight UK star Adrian Sanderson labelled Aldi’s Specially Selected Picpoul De Pinet (£7.49, 75cl) as the “go to” wine for summer.

He said: “I’m going to go ahead and say this is my biggest recommend so far!”

Adrian continued: “The finish is refreshing and zest.I feel refreshed and zested! If you like a really clean white wine, this is it. This is my number one. Now I’m going to do two bottles…one bottle…three.”
