Plans have been submitted for the installation of a new refrigeration plant at an Aldi store in Clock Face.

The application for the site, located on Clock Face Road, has been proposed.

According to the cover letter, the proposal is being put forward to provide a 'refrigeration upgrade to a foodstore which has now been operating for close to a decade'.

It mentions that the upgrade 'looks to align emerging sustainability legislation with the foodstore's current operation'.

"As detailed on the proposed site plan and elevations plan, the proposed development comprises the erection of replacement plant at the location of the existing plant on the northern side of the building," it adds.

"The development is being proposed as part of a wider upgrade of refrigeration plant for Aldi stores."

"The proposal will incorporate a design in a similar image to that which is already existing."

"This investment will allow the applicant to be fully compliant with national emissions legislation that is going to be introduced from 2030."

"The replacement of the plant is part of a national project which the applicant, Aldi, are undertaking to ensure that all of their mechanical plant meets their own corporate sustainability objectives and targets."
