Yahoo News Alesha Dixon and her family bucked the seaside trend and went on a staycation safari
Alesha Dixon and her family had a rather spectacular looking time in photos posted to Instagram on Wednesday (5 August), proving UK staycations can be truly incredible. Alesha, her husband Azuka Ononye, their daughters Anaya and Azura, and some extended family all set out on safari for their staycation, showing the seaside is not the only option!
They visited Port Lympne Park in Kent, a 600-acre wildlife reserve & safari with a pretty swish hotel offering a range of unique accommodation options, and of course some amazing animals.
Sharing the series of photos to her Instagram page, the star wrote: "Full family crew for our little adventure today to @portlympnepark it was so magical feeding the giraffes, such beautiful, gentle creatures, we were mesmerised! 😊 "

Alesha then thanked the park staff, adding: "Thank you to Erin our lovely ranger for looking after us all so well, a very happy crew!🦒"
Swiping through the pics it certainly looks like an amazing outing. Daughters Anaya and Azura look completely delighted by the animals roaming the vast reserve. There's even a couple of videos of the girls feeding the statuesque creatures.
Looking every bit the authentic safari experience with the gorgeous blue skies, dirt roads and wide open plains, it's easy to forget they're in Kent.
While summer 2020 is certainly a difficult one, it's great to see so many of us rediscovering all the trips we can take without a plane.
