Alesha Dixon is 'waiting for the right acting role'

Alesha Dixon has been secretly preparing for a new career in acting.

They say a change is better than a holiday and it seems for the 37-year-old star a new direction – possibly west towards Hollywood – is on the cards.

Alesha says she’s looking for a “kick-ass” screen role in either a superhero movie or a TV drama and hopes the offers will start to role in before she embarks on the next season of Britain’s Got Talent.

She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I have been doing the acting lessons for a few months. It’s good. I do them when I can. I work one-on-one with an acting coach.

“I am just waiting for that right role to come my way and yes, 100 percent, I’d love to give it a go.”

Alesha thinks a role like Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn in ‘Suicide Squad’ would suit her down to the ground, and so do we.

The multi-talented star added: “I love the idea of being in an action movie, something like Margot Robbie in ‘Suicide Squad’. A kick-ass role. I also love the idea of being in a musical and also dramas, TV dramas, gritty dramas. I am very open-minded, really.”

Alesha rose to fame in girl group Misteeq with hits like ‘Scandalous,’ ‘One Night Stand’ and ‘Why?’ and we have no doubt she’d take Hollywood by storm if given the chance.
