Alex Jones announces she's pregnant live on 'The One Show'

Alex Jones is expecting, and she revealed it live in front of the nation on last night’s edition of The One Show.

The Welsh presenter dropped the news into conversation with her co-host Matt Baker, giving it a festive slant too.

“Now I have some news,” she explained. “No I haven’t been eating all the mince pies! There is a little baby, look! I am expecting another baby.”

Jones already has a baby boy, Edward Alun Burrell Thomson (Teddy for short), with husband Charlie, who she married on New Year’s Eve in 2015.

She announced Teddy’s birth on the show too, in a live phone call during an episode in January, 2017.

However, Jones, 41, revealed to The Sun that conceiving the second time around had been difficult.

“I have to say, the first time – absolutely fine. Luckily, God, it happened,” she said. “But second time, not as easy.

“I suppose I’m older now, but we took it for granted that it would be OK. But you don’t really know until you start trying how it’s going to go, do you?

“The majority of couples I know have had something, not always IVF, but some problem that needs to be sorted out.”
