X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has revealed that she and footballer boyfriend Darren Randolph are expecting their first child.

In a romantic video posted to her Instagram page, the 33-year-old singer revealed that she and Randolph will welcome their new arrival in June of this year.

The video shows the couple walking their dogs in the woods, as well as West Ham United goalkeeper Randolph tenderly kissing Burke's baby bump.

Famous faces including Dancing On Ice judge Oti Mabuse and JLS singer Oritsé Williams offered their congratulations in the comments section below the video.

The couple began dating last year while Burke was performing as the Narrator in the West End revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

They first revealed their relationship publicly in June 2021, when Randolph shared a picture of he and Burke heading out for a date.

The singer had previously said she would never date another famous face after splitting from Rotherham United defender Angus MacDonald in 2020.

Burke rose to fame in 2008 when she won the fifth series of The X Factor and immediately secured the coveted Christmas number one slot with her cover of Hallelujah.

Her debut album Overcome featured two further UK number one singles in Start Without You and Bad Boys.

Since 2014, Burke has found success on the West End stage, replacing Beverley Knight as the lead in The Bodyguard.

She has also led the cast of Sister Act The Musical and appeared in Chess and Chicago as Roxie Hart.
