Pansies follows Alfie Bell who finally has everything he always wanted ... sort of. He's got a fancy car, a six-figure salary and a penthouse in the gleaming Canary Wharf. This is the fourth book in the Spires series, which also includes recently re-released For Real, Glitterland and Waiting for the Flood. The series can be read in any order, since each of the installments stands alone, linked to its series siblings thematically instead of chronologically.

"It’s about the connections between people and how those are mediated through places," Hall explains, of how Spires came together.
