Alison Hammond has shared a simple message in response to her son's news as he makes his very own solo move. Aidan isn't following in his TV star mum's exact footsteps but he will find himself in front of plenty of people as DJ.

The teenager is no stranger to being behind the decks and appears to have been building up his exposure in the area if posts on his Instagram page are anything to go by. But Aidan has now revealed his biggest gig to date as he'll be playing at this year's Camp Bestival.

Confirming the news on Instagram, the 19-year-old said: "I AM PLAYING AT MY FIRST EVER FESTIVAL @campbestival I will be playing on Saturday 27th of July in the Bollywood tent from 7-8pm so if you like house music get your tickets and come see me play big thanks to @campbestival."

Camp Bestival also commented on the new addition to the line-up: "We are so excited to announce that Aidan Hammond will be joining us at Camp Bestival Dorset this summer with his festival DJ debut. Son of TV’s Alison Hammond, Aidan has been DJ'ing for over a year, captivating audiences with his infectious beats and electrifying performances. He’ll be DJ’ing in the legendary Bollywood tent on Saturday night and is rumoured to have a ‘special surprise guest’ joining him too….

According to the festival, Aidan, who has made frequent appearances at DJ Fat Tony brunches and private events, specializes in house music with his sets a fusion of tech house, energetic rhythms, and uplifting melodies that keep the crowd grooving.

Aidan's goal is to expand his presence on the festival circuit, aiming to be booked for more festivals, and he is also venturing into music production, currently working on mixes to serve as a showreel of his diverse skills.

Alison, 49, was also keen to respond to the news. Not wanting to make too much of a public fuss, she reshared Aidan's post to her Instagram Story and the This Morning host said: "Exciting," before adding "#proud".

Earlier this year, Alison was praised for a pep talk after admitting she initially felt like a ‘failure’ after splitting from the father of her son. Alison and co-host Dermot O’Leary were speaking to Paloma Faith at the time about her album, The Glorification of Sadness, which she said was based on her break-up with Leyman Lahcine, the father of her two children.

"It feels very heavy that I broke up with my children’s dad. I felt stages of grief and even now two years on I feel this sense of guilt I failed my children, society and what’s expected," she shared. "The album goes through the stages of grief It is my biggest failure and my only regret despite being someone who has never regretted anything."

However soon after Alison gave her a pep talk, saying that whilst she had once felt the same, it was incorrect. "That doesn’t make you a failure- you are a single mum and a pop star who is smashing life. That is your life and journey and story." She continued: "I felt that failure with my son’s dad when we broke up but he moved on and has three other kids now and they are part of our life."
