Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker is reportedly attracting interest from Saudi Arabian clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

Alisson has enjoyed another strong season at the club, producing a number of vital saves to keep the Reds in matches, though has been unavailable for a total of 17 matches this campaign.

The strong performances of the Brazilian don't appear to have gone unnoticed, however, with teams in the Middle East believed to be preparing moves for his services. The Telegraph have claimed "ambitious plans" are being discussed to bring Alisson to the Saudi Pro League, with Manchester City's Ederson also being eyed.

As many as ten "marquee signings" are expected to be completed by Saudi sides this summer, the above article has claimed, with Manchester United duo Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes among the other names who could be the subject of transfer bids.

Mohamed Salah was of course a priority target for Al-Ittihad last September, the Reds rejecting an offer worth £150million for the Egyptian after making clear they had no desire to part ways with the 31-year-old despite the lucrative money put forward. It is anticipated fresh bids could be made for Salah in the coming weeks,

One factor that could restrict the ability of Saudi clubs to target Alisson, however, is the Pro League's restriction of foreign players in squads. The initial number was capped at eight, though this has since being raised to ten but the extra two individuals must be under-21 players.

In March, Alisson was linked with a move to the Brazilian club he began his career at, Internacional. His agent subsequently spoke out to shut down such rumours, telling Revista Colorada: “There’s nothing. There was no contact. At this moment, it is impossible”

Alisson is under contract at Anfield until the summer of 2027, having signed an extension back in 2021.
