Alliance Parking - A correction

A previous article 'Parking ticket branded 'absolute joke' after 16 SECONDS overstay in Looe' 19 April, reported that parking management company Alliance Parking 'issued a ticket to a motorist for staying for 16 seconds too long'. This was based on the Notice to Keeper, which was provided by the motorist, which displayed a period of 16 seconds under 'Period of Parking'. We have since been made aware that the parking charge was issued because the motorists' Pay & Display ticket had expired over half an hour, and that the '16 seconds' related to the period of time that the patrol officer observed the vehicle. We are happy to clarify this and apologise for the error.
