Ally McCoist joins talkSPORT pal Andy Townsend at Ayr steakhouse ahead of day at races
He liked a winner on the pitch - and Ally McCoist has got off to a flying start on his trip to Ayr for the big race weekend.
'Super Ally' is in town for this weekend's Coral Scottish Grand National and hosted the talkSPORT breakfast show with former Aston Villa star, Andy Townsend, live from the track this morning. Ayr United boss Scott Brown was among their studio guests beside the winning post.
But before tucking into the race action, McCoist and Townsend headed for one of Ayr's top eating destinations last night as they enjoyed a meal at the Drunken Coo Steakhouse. The renowned venue played host to the former football stars as they dined on the likes of 10oz hand cut rib eye steaks and held court with fellow customers.
McCoist had jetted into Ayr straight from his stint as a pundit in Munich on Wednesday night where he watched Arsenal knocked out of the Champions League against Bayern.
