The teaser for Winter House season 3 suggested that Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke might’ve brought an additional house guest to Colorado: a baby!

To the couple’s relief, the pregnancy test Batula, 32, took came back negative. During the Winter House panel at BravoCon 2023 in Las Vegas on Friday, Batula said she “hoped it would be negative because we were drinking so much.”

“It’s always scary peeing on a stick,” she added.

Batula and Cooke, 41, told PEOPLE they still don’t feel ready to start a family just yet.

“We weren't ever ready for kids and we're still not,” Batula said. “We're practicing, we're not trying for babies just yet. Our schedules are so busy.”

The pair, who tied the knot in September 2021, already have two little ones to take care of at home. “We're so preoccupied with the dogs,” Batula said. “We'll eventually be ready for kids.”

Cooke considers his beverage company, Loverboy, one of his kids, too.

“I think we both realized that like, all right, things are a little chaotic at the moment, particularly with Loverboy,” he said. “It's one thing to film TV shows, but it's another thing to run a company. Loverboy is my pride and joy. I don't want to be an absentee dad.”

The Summer House stars look forward to becoming parents eventually, though. “We're excited for whenever that comes,” Batula said. “Right now, our dogs are keeping us so busy and so fulfilled. I couldn't be happier as a dog mom.”

Batula and Cooke also weighed in on their castmates’ Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard’s breakup.

“The goal really for me is just to be supportive the best way that we can,” Batula said. “We have history with both of them, they're friends of ours. They're going through a really rough patch and to be there however they need in that moment, without picking sides or taking a stance, it's just being there to support our friends.”

Cooke acknowledged that that can be “tricky.”

“It's a tricky situation to navigate even for us, I can't even imagine Carl and Lindsay particularly in this environment,” he said. “We're not trying to sit here and, and nitpick over the details. Trust me, there's plenty of footage that will come and right now it's just trying to be supportive.”

Batula said she feels like Scandoval upped the ante for other Bravo shows.

“Everything seems like it needs to be more and bigger and crazier,” she said. “Now every breakup, people are looking for it to be chaotic and explosive. Sometimes things just don't work out. It's that simple.”

While Vanderpump Rules happened to be airing and filming as Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix’s breakup unfolded, Summer House fans will have to wait for February to see what went down between Radke, 38, and Hubbard, 37.

“This isn't happening as real time as Scandoval,” Cooke pointed out. “They're both kind of hurting and they're both trying to figure out the new normal.”
