Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has hinted that she might give the 'naked dressing trend' a go. The 53 year old presenter, known for her bold fashion statements on the ITV show, is gearing up for the latest series and the much-anticipated live semi-finals where she's expected to debut new ensembles.

In a conversation with Women's Health magazine last month while discussing her collaboration with Lipsy, Amanda expressed gratitude for the chance to "wear sparkles and big old frocks".

On the topic of fashion, she remarked that "trends always come back around". Delving into her personal style choices, she mentioned: "I obviously wouldn't wear some of the stuff that's out there now."

However, when quizzed about embracing the 'naked dressing trend', Amanda playfully responded: "Oh, well obviously! I think it's all a bit of fun, isn't it? And I'm all for that.", reports the Mirror.

This recent fashion craze involves transparent garments adorned with lace, beads, and other embellishments that reveal the skin beneath, as seen on catwalks and celebrity events. Alex Scott was noted for donning such attire last year.

Amanda has been a staple on the Britain's Got Talent judging panel for over a decade, but lately, her wardrobe choices have sparked controversy and even complaints, as highlighted by the Express.

For example, in 2017, her decision to wear a Julien Macdonald dress for a live episode reportedly led to 633 complaints being filed with communications regulator Ofcom. This incident has been cited as the most complained about TV moment of that year.

More recently, in 2020, Amanda found herself at the centre of controversy when she chose to wear a navy-blue gown on the show, leading viewers to complain they could "see her nipples". Consequently, this outfit garnered 235 complaints to Ofcom.

Amanda has openly spoken about the backlash she has faced regarding her choice of attire. Last year, in an interview, she dismissively stated: "It's nothing, people have too much time on their hands."

The presenter regularly takes to Instagram to showcase some of her outfits, and fans can frequently see photos of her work wardrobe on the platform. Alongside co-host Jamie Theakston, Amanda presents Heart Radio.

She also hosts the BBC renovation programme, 'Amanda and Alan's Italian Job', alongside pal Alan Carr.

The current series of Britains Got Talent is now in full swing, with the auditions phase set to round off on Sunday night. As always, fans eagerly anticipate the ensembles long-standing judge Amanda will debut in the forthcoming live shows that kick-start next week.

ITV will broadcast the live semi-finals from Monday night throughout the majority of the week.
