Amanda Holden 'presses golden buzzer for wrong act' on Britain's Got Talent
Judge Amanda Holden has come under fire from loyal Stokies - after 'pressing the golden buzzer for the wrong act'. Amanda gave Japanese act Nabe a path straight through to the live finals when she chose him as her golden buzzer act.
He had used his special skills to imitate a number of characters, including Maleficent, Snoopy and Shaun the Sheep – as well as Simon Cowell’s chest hair. But many viewers believe the golden buzzer on last night's show should have gone to Audley couple Denise Leigh and Stefan Andrusyschyn.
Amanda told viewers: "Normally when I press my golden buzzer I’m then in floods of tears and I do a big speech. This is so different. It’s just made me howl. Absolutely laugh my head off."
But StokeonTrentLive readers are adamant Amanda made the wrong choice. It means singer Denise and pianist Stefan are facing an anxious wait to find out if they will make it through to the live finals.
Marion Bowcock said: "Amanda should have saved her golden buzzer instead of using it on a man with silly hair impressions."
Pauline Dale said: "A wonderful performance. Denise and Stefan should have got the golden buzzer."
Elizabeth Platt said: "They deserved a golden buzzer." Celia Wilkes added: "The golden buzzer should have been pressed."
