When is the next The Amazing Race season 35 episode?
It's time for the final leg of The Amazing Race season 35, with the season finale airing on Wednesday, December 13, at 9:30 pm ET/PT on CBS. The episode is also going to include an Amazing Race first, a "scramble leg." Here's the episode's official synopsis:
"The final three teams travel to Seattle, where they must complete three challenges in a scramble leg, a first in Amazing Race history. The challenges are inspired by Seattle's art scene and include swinging from a high trapeze, glassblowing and being a roadie for a grunge band. The team that successfully completes these challenges and arrives first will win the $1 million prize."
The episode airs immediately after a brand new edition of Survivor season 45.
The Amazing Race premise
The basic premise of The Amazing Race is not changing after more than 20 years on TV. The show pits multiple teams of two against each other in a race around the globe. At each location, they must complete different tasks that combine the area's culture and navigate the region in order to reach a final destination. If you are the last team to arrive at the checkpoint, then you are eliminated. The first team to make it all the way to the finish line is the ultimate winner.
After a couple of seasons of private travels between locations for the teams due to the pandemic, The Amazing Race season 35 will require their teams to fly commercial (as they've done throughout most of its run), as well as features like no non-elimination legs, Express Pass and U-Turn.
The Amazing Race season 35 host
There has only been one host for the first 34 seasons of The Amazing Race, and that won't change with season 35. Phil Keoghan is back as the host of The Amazing Race, a job that has earned him four Emmy nominations for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program.
