American actor and comedian Eric André has been spotted at a café in Manchester city centre this afternoon following a sold-out gig.

The Florida native, who has appeared in Bad Trip, The Lion King, Sing 2, Jackass 4.5 and Trolls Band Together, brought his The Eric Andre Show Live to the Albert Hall on Thursday night (May 23).

Described as being a ‘chaotic and boundary pushing stage show’, the prankster has been touring Ireland and the UK with the production, which is loosely inspired by elements from his popular Adult Swim TV programme The Eric Andre Show.

The Eric Andre Show has been on television since it began in 2012, and the sketch show is described as being a satire of late night talk shows. Over the years, it has featured special appearances from the likes of Chris Rock, Seth Rogen, Kelly Osbourne and Jack Black.

This month, Eric has been taking the stage show to the likes of Dublin, Birmingham, Brighton and London. Concluding the UK dates in Manchester's Albert Hall, Eric has then been seen spending some time in the town today.

He was pictured at the Siop Shop café, which is on Tib Street in the Northern Quarter. The coffee shop posted a video of the star behind the counter and attempting to learn Welsh from co-owner Iwan Roberts.

In one video, Eric hands a coffee cup to the camera and says: “Thanks a latte.” The shop added in the post: “Introducing our latest edition to the crew, fresh from barista school… Eric.

“Please be kind whilst he gets to grips with the new environment. His patter needs some work… Appreciate you coming through again. See you next time dude.”

On his own Instagram post, Eric shared a video with Iwan as he asked him to tell him in Welsh the most drunk he had ever been.

Opened in 2017, Siop Shop has been a big hit with diners for its doughnuts and coffee. Named after the Welsh name for shop, the cafe comes from Blawd creators Iwan and Lucy Jackson following their time working at the likes of Common. At the time of the launch, Iwan described the shop as like a 'souped-up Greggs'.

Eric, who also performs music under the stage name of Blarf, has also appeared in 2 Broke Girls, Disenchantment and American Dad.

Siop Shop is on 53 Tib Street, Manchester, M4 1LS. You can follow them on Instagram here.
