Amy Dowden says ‘let's do this’ in major career announcement

Strictly Come Dancing’s Amy Dowden has shared her excitement upon announcing that she’s going on tour with her co-star Carlos Gu. It comes after it was confirmed that the 33-year-old would be returning to the BBC dance show later this year following her battle with breast cancer.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Amy wrote: “Let's do this! @gkx carlos @amyandcarlosreborn”. She also gave people their first look at the poster in which she wore a beige dress. Are you planning on watching Amy and Carlos? Let us know in the comments.

Upon making the announcement Amy’s followers rushed to the comments to share their congratulatory messages. Her fellow Strictly star Katya Jones wrote: “This is going to set the roof on fire”.

Dianne Buswell said: “Go on guys,” while Celebrity Big Brother’s Nikita Kuzmin wrote: “Yessss guyyyssss”.

Amy and Carlos will be touring throughout spring 2025 performing a Cardiff date at the New Theatre on March 30. Tickets go on sale on Friday, July 12 and you can sign up for pre-sale here.
