Amy Winehouse died today at the age of 27.

The 'Back to Black' singer, whose debut album 'Frank' brought her to fame in 2003, was reportedly discovered at her north London home this afternoon.

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that they received a call at 4.05pm asking for help for a woman in Camden. The paramedics arrived, but Winehouse was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time her death is "unexplained" but is reportedly not suspicious but sources have told the Sunday Mirror that an overdose of drink and drugs could be the cause of death.

Winehouse has had issues with drink and drugs, as recently as May and was seeking help for her addictions.

It's a sad day for music. R.I.P Amy.
