Andean Bear Enjoys 'Irresistibly Floaty Log' While Swimming at Tucson Zoo

A bear was seen playing with an “irresistibly floaty log” as she swam in a pool at Reid Park Zoo in Tucson, Arizona, recently.

The zoo shared this video on July 4 that shows Oja the Andean bear playing with a palm tree log. In the video, six-year-old Oja grips onto the log and uses it as a floatation device while enjoying the water.

Andean bears are known for their climbing and swimming skills, and they can often be found “cooling off in the pool during warm summer days,” according to the Reid Park Zoo. Credit: Reid Park Zoo via Storyful
