A well known Anglesey hotel on an historic route has had a price cut to try to secure a sale. The Valley Hotel, in Valley, near Holyhead, dates back to the 1800s.

It is lies on the historic A5 Holyhead to London route. Anglesey Inns have owned and operated the hotel for 30 years, having acquired the site from Burtonwood Brewery back in 1993.

Last year the company shareholders announced they were seeking a "reputable buyer" for the business to bring new investment and to take it to an even higher level.

It remains business as usual at the hotel.

Tom O’Malley, associate director – Hotels, who is handling the sales process, said: “Being on the Isle of Anglesey, one of the UK’s top holiday destinations, the Valley Hotel has a strong tourist seasonal trade, as well as a vibrant local trade, making this a fantastic opportunity to acquire an established hotel business. We expect hotel will appeal to a number of different new operators, from a local business person looking to take advantage of its healthy annual revenue, or a regional multiple operator who can take advantage of logistical expertise.”
