Former Weakest Link host Anne Robinson has decided to jump headfirst into the world of online dating by setting up a Tinder profile, much to the amusement of viewers.

The 71-year-old downloaded the app as part of her BBC documentary series, Britain’s Secrets, and her sarcastic comments about potential matches had viewers ‘cracking up’.

Robinson previously investigated body image and Briton’s love of their pets on the show, but this time the famously scathing presenter turned her attention to relationships and travelled the country to try and discover the secret to a perfect partnership.

Robinson, who has been married and divorced twice but is currently single, got stuck in with modern dating by downloading Tinder.

But perhaps unsurprisingly she gave her potential suitors short shrift, and confessed she wished she could filter for “CEOs and upwards”.

She said: “This is Gary who’s a freelance actor. I don’t feel that that would bring in a big income. Tommy is a drainage engineer. He’s with his friend and neither of their teeth are very nice.”

But she was much more impressed with a certain 60-year-old banker, exclaiming: “Oooh look! Well well well, that’s much nicer. I want to go back to the 60-year-old who’s got a job in banking. I just really want a Tinder that’s CEOs and upwards.”

Viewers certainly found her short stint on the dating app entertaining, with many agreeing that they too would like a Tinder for CEOs and up.

But it was all a bit embarrassing for one fan who wrote: “Anne Robinson using Tinder is too much. It’s like watching your nan trying to get back on the horse.”

But according to Robinson, she’s never been out of the saddle, so to speak.

In an interview with The Sun, the presenter said: “I hope all women my age are having sex, why wouldn’t they be? It’s what keeps me young.”
