Anneka Rice has admitted she is keen to bring back Treasure Hunt following the revival of hit 90s show Challenge Anneka.

The 64-year-old TV presenter will return to screens on Channel 5 on Saturday, 18 March, with the show which sees her help a community complete a charity project in just a few days by drumming up volunteers and asking local businesses to pledge donations.

But Rice admitted that fans often confuse the show with her Channel 4 game show Treasure Hunt in which she flew around the country in a helicopter following clues.

She told The One Show: "Did you laugh when you watched the first Challenge programme and we started it off in a helicopter? That's because no one knows which programme is which so we thought we'd chuck the kitchen sink [at it] and just have them all together."

But asked if she would like to do Treasure Hunt again she said: "Let's do it, why not?!"

Rice has also revealed she wore some of her original 90s Lycra jumpsuits in the new show - but with the addition of thermal underwear and professional make-up.

She told The Mirror: "I decided to upcycle some of my old outfits as I have a wardrobe full of Lycra.

“The trouble is we ended up filming in winter so all hopes of looking glamorous flew out of the window.

“Most of the time I look like a Teletubby, layer upon layer of thermals.”

She added: “The production company kindly provided a hair and make-up lady which was exciting as I’d never had this before.

“It was lovely for about 10 minutes at 6am but by lunchtime on day one I realised I was just never going to have time to see a hairdryer again. So, I look as I always used to look – rainswept and dishevelled."

The One Show viewers were impressed by Rice's youthful appearance.

One tweeted: "So in the 80s I would go to bed after watching @AnnekaRice in a chopper….then later I watched her in a buggy building things. I woke up with her (on the radio)as an adult and I swear she hasn’t aged a day in all that time watching her on @bbctheoneshow."
