Deadline understands that Brodie’s departure is amicable. No word on his next move.

The departure comes as Anonymous Content has been searching for nearly a year for a new CEO following the surprising resignation of Dawn Olmstead and COO Heather McCauley from the company. Sources close to the company told Deadline that it is in the final stages of the search.

The duo resigned in March. Olmstead resurfaced in December, teaming up with Charlize Theron and her Denver & Delilah partners Beth Kono and AJ Dix to launch a new venture.

Brodie joined Anonymous Content in 2021. Before that, he was SVP of finance and strategy at Legendary Entertainment, having joined that company from DreamWorks Studios, where he was VP for finance and strategic planning.

Anonymous Content, which is behind films including The Revenant, Spotlight and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind as well as Rami Malek series Mr. Robot, recently released Foe starring Saoirse Ronan, Paul Mescal and Aaron Pierre, The Marsh King’s Daughter, starring Daisy Ridley, and has season four of True Detective starring Jodie Foster coming to HBO.

It is also behind Apple’s Disclaimer from Alfonso Cuarón starring Cate Blanchett, limited series East of Eden starring Florence Pugh with Zoe Kazan set to adapt, Time Bandits from Taika Waititi, and Savant starring Jessica Chastain.

The company is also handling sales for five projects heading to this year’s Sundance Film Festival including Kneecap and Between The Temples, as well as War Game and Union, both of which it also produced, and Handling The Undead which it executive produced.
