Another chance at life: 2 dogs saved from euthanasia in need of adoption

TYLER, Texas (KETK) – Ruger and Sozen were seized from a case of neglect, then saved from euthanasia and now need help finding their forever homes.

KETK previously covered the heart-breaking story of Ruger and Sozen, who were seized in August because of neglect, then were in risk of euthanasia due to a lack of space.

Paw Pals TV Pet Project Inc. intervened for the dogs and made sure they could receive the care they needed and be adopted. They are currently recovering at Circle Star Pet Resort, have received all of their vaccinations and are getting neutered on Jan. 31.

“I am not really a rescue, I have the rescue in case of emergencies and this was an emergency– his life was an emergency, so I want to let him pick who he wants to go with,” Kat Lloyd of Paw Pals said about Ruger. “I would love for him to be on a sofa with someone who loves him. There is no aggression, he just loves treats and he is such a good boy.”

After they are neutered, Ruger and Sozen will be ready for adoption.

“He’s just beautiful, and I didn’t want us to regret that we didn’t help an animal that was in need of our help,” Lloyd said about Sozen. “I want him to have the opportunity to love and be loved.”

If you are interested in giving either of these dogs another chance at life, you can email Kat Lloyd at kat@pawpals.tv to schedule a meet and greet. Paw Pals is also seeking help keeping the dogs in care at the resort, donations can be made here.
