On Wednesday, June 19, the Celebrity IOU: Joyride host, 45, posted a video to social media, allowing his fans to take a peek at one of his latest projects.
“I’ve got some really exciting news because I’ve been secretly working on a brand-new television show!” Anstead said in a video uploaded to his Instagram account. “Because I’ve gone and bought a 500-year-old farm house in rural England for my parents to move into.”
As he explained, the United Kingdom-born talent was standing in said farmhouse, smiling as it could partially be seen in the background.
Anstead admitted he initially thought the restoration would be easy, but it actually “has turned into a nightmare.”
One huge issue is that “the rear end of the home is completely condemned,” he said.

To make things work, the motor specialist’s solution is to use the barn as a workshop “to find, fix and flip a number of classic cars” so he’ll have enough money to renovate the home.

In April, the Radford Reborn star spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about quietly selling his Orange County beach house in Laguna after having "a change in my personal life."
Anstead is currently dating Renée Zellweger. The couple has been an item since 2021 when they met on the set of his Discovery+ show, Celebrity IOU: Joyride.
The actress, 55, is shooting the fourth Bridget Jones film in the U.K.
"Ant is going over to the U.K. with Renée while she is filming later this year,” a source told PEOPLE in April. “Ant is excited to spend time with his older kiddos."
The British car expert shares daughter Amelie, 20, and son Archie, 17, with his first wife, Louise Storey. They live in the U.K. while his 4-year-old son Hudson, whom he shares with ex-wife Christina Hall, lives in California.
Earlier this month, Anstead shared a sweet social media message about traveling back to the U.K. to visit Zellweger.
In the June 9 Instagram carousel, he posed with Hudson on his shoulders while holding onto two large suitcases.

“My little travel buddy…….. ✈️ 🇬🇧 Incoming…… Ammo, Archo & Ren ❤️❤️ x,” Anstead captioned the post in which he subtly addressed Zellweger along with his two older kids, Amelie and Archie.
Anstead also referred to the United Kingdom as his “happy place” in a May 26 Instagram post that showed himself smiling while sitting on a car.
