Ant McPartlin is reportedly feeling the nerves of becoming a first-time dad, while his wife Anne-Marie Corbett confidently takes the lead during her pregnancy.

The Britain's Got Talent host was spotted hand-in-hand with his pregnant wife as they enjoyed lunch at The River Cafe in London.

Anne-Marie, already a mother to two children from her previous marriage, was seen lovingly cradling her growing baby bump. This will be Ant's first experience of fatherhood.

Ant and his long-time co-host Declan Donnelly recently decided to take a break from their ITV show Saturday Night Takeaway to spend more time with their families, in preparation for his significant lifestyle change,

Body language expert Judi James suggests that Anne-Marie is leading the way during the final stages of her pregnancy, while Ant shows signs of anxiety about becoming a father.

Judi analysed photos obtained by the Mirror of the couple enjoying lunch with Jamie Redknapp and his wife Frida Andersson, she said: "Anne-Marie looks so relaxed and happy in these poses, smiling broadly as she cradles her bump with one hand, suggesting high levels of delight at her pregnancy but also the levels of calm that you might expect from someone who has given birth twice before.

"Ant looks every inch the first-time dad here though. Walking slightly ahead of Anne-Marie he holds her hand but not in the kind of mutual clasp that is the usual signal of bonding and affection.

Ant has hold of Anne-Marie's fingers and he has raised her hand as though very carefully and protectively towing along a consignment of Ming Vases.

"The body language expert added: "His facial expression suggests some levels of anxiety although when he turns to look down at the bump the grin that appears suggests not only pride and excitement but he also seems to be communicating with the baby already here.

In a heartfelt chat earlier this year, just before the final series of Saturday Night Takeaway hit our screens, Ant opened up about why they decided to put their beloved ITV show on hold.

"On a more personal level, part of the reason we're pausing Takeaway is we need a break ourselves, and we need to spend some time with our family," the TV star confessed.

Speaking to Fault magazine back in February, the soon-to-be father of 48 shared: "We've both got children that we need to spend time with for a little bit. We need time to think and, and time to step back and look at the bigger picture and just see where we are now."

Ant, now a step-dad to two children with his spouse Anne-Marie Corbett, walked down the aisle with his ex-PA in a beautiful ceremony last year.

The journey towards wedded happiness hasn't been without its ups and downs for the TV presenter. He split from his former wife, makeup artist Lisa Armstrong, in 2018, only to find love once more with his then-PA, Anne-Marie, just six months later, triggering a flurry of media intrigue and speculation.

Yet despite the rumour mill going into overdrive, Ant always firmly maintained that there was no overlaps or impropriety involved.

"I don't feel the need to defend Anne-Marie but I will say you've got to be careful judging other people's relationships or what you think is the truth that's been put out there," he shared with The Sun.

Pals of the renowned pair have endeavoured to set the record straight, making it clear that Anne-Marie was not responsible for the collapse of Ant's previous marriage, and likewise, Ant didn't play a part in her matrimonial downfall.
