A dispersal order was slapped on Guisborough in a bid to tackle antisocial behaviour.

The order ran from 3pm Friday, May 3, until 6am on Saturday, May 4 across Guisborough town centre. It gives officers the powers to ask people to leave the area for the specified time period. If they return, they could be arrested for breaching the order.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "It gives officers the powers to ask people to leave the area for the specified time period. If they return, they could be arrested for breaching the order.

The order is not to target those going about legitimate and lawful business. Anyone suspected of being involved in anti-social behaviour will be asked to leave the area."

Officers and PCSOs conducted high visibility patrols in the area.
