Here's who's replacing Piers Morgan on GMB this summer

Rejoice, people who want to enjoy ITV's Good Morning Britain but can't watch it because of that human manifestation of Marmite that is Piers Morgan – he's going on a break!

Both Piers and put-upon co-host Susanna Reid finished the last of their regular Monday to Wednesday shifts for the summer earlier this week, and will be replaced by a line-up of dependable and far less controversial presenters (obviously we don't mean Susanna, FYI).

ITV revealed that Eamonn Holmes and Charlotte Hawkins will host from next Monday (July 31) to Wednesday, with Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway hosting on the other two days.

The next week (starting August 7), Jeremy Kyle will join Kate to host the Monday to Wednesday shows, then it's back to Ben and Kate on Thursday, and then Charlotte is back for the Friday.

Jezza and Kate will carry on doing those three days for the two weeks after that, too, but Richard Madeley will be covering Ben on the Thursdays and Fridays.

And finally, Ranvir Singh will take over the final week of August, alongside Richard for the Monday to Wednesday, and Ben on the Thursday and Friday.

Lorraine Kelly is also taking a two-week break from August 21, which means two weeks of extended GMB.

ITV recently came under fire to reveal the salaries of its stars following the BBC's (forced) example, but the broadcaster's boss said that would never happen.
