'Creepy' Piers Morgan forces Susanna Reid to flee as he threatens to release tarantula on Good Morning Britain

Susanna Reid fled the Good Morning Britain studio in terror after Piers Morgan threatened to release a tarantula.

Reid screamed in fear and was unable to continue her segment after Morgan pulled the lid off of a plastic box containing the furry arachnid.

Reid was attempting to talk about curing phobias when Morgan took the opportunity to tease her.

She said: “If you’re terrified of spiders and I’m not that keen on them can you see this? It’s only a blinking tarantula in the studio.”

Morgan opened the box and interrupted: “Can we get in there?”

Clearly panicked, Reid shouted: “No, no, Piers no! You’re not allowed to. Please close that box up Morgan.”

Attempting to calm the situation, entertainment reporter Richard Arnold quickly snapped shut the lid.

Fans questioned how she can scream at a spider when she sits on the sofa with Morgan every week, while others branded him a “snake” and urged the creature to bite Morgan.
