The fact that Liar is coming to an end is bittersweet – especially if justice isn't served – but our first look at episode six is getting us too excited for Monday.

Mainly because it appears that the net is finally closing in on serial rapist Andrew Earlham, and that his son isn't quite convinced he's innocent.

Andrew's warning that "it's not over" is giving us chills. And not in a good way.

Although it certainly seems like Andrew might be caught for his crimes, it's not a given – as Shelley Conn, who plays DI Vanessa Harmon, has promised an "unpredictable" finale.

"It's so unpredictable. They can bring things out that you didn't... I don't think anyone expected what happened to me to happen," she teased earlier this month.

"As the show goes on, and it's the final episode next week, there are more revelations and you will be surprised."

Those revelations will provide a "satisfactory conclusion" as well by the sound of things – or at least that's what Joanne Froggatt would have us believe.

"This absolutely does come to a conclusion in the sixth episode. But there is an offshoot," she recently hinted. "There are more questions that can arise from the conclusion.

"We could do one more [series]."

Liar concludes next Monday (October 16) at 9pm on ITV.
