April is Autism Awareness Month in Enterprise

ENTERPRISE, Ala (WDHN) — April has been declared Autism Awareness Month in the city of progress.

Mayor William Cooper signed the proclamation on Monday, April 1.

“Autism affects verbal and non-verbal communication, the ability to effectively express ideas and feelings, imagination, leisure and play activities, and the establishment of relationships,” said Mayor Cooper.

On Saturday, April 13, at 10:00 a.m. Autism Support of Alabama will host a Walk for Autism in Enterprise at the Bates Memorial Stadium. The event will include a resource fair, games, activities, music, and more.

I urge all citizens of Enterprise to join in the observance of raising autism awareness.”
