Ariana DeBose & Bella Ramsey Have No Beef & Hug It Out At The Emmys After Critics Choice Awards Diss; Jamie Lee Curtis Slams Joke

There was no beef between Ariana DeBose and Bella Ramsey after the Critics Choice Awards moment that went viral.

DeBose and Ramsey were spotted embracing each other with a hug during the Emmys, a day after the incident.

The joke lit up social media on Sunday night, and it happened when Ramsey and Anthony Ramos took the stage to present the Best Song category.

Ramsey started off by reading the teleprompter, saying that the songs nominated in the category were “delivered by some of the most famous voices in the music industry.” Ramos then named Billie Eilish, Lenny Kravitz, and Dua Lipa as part of that batch.

The joke that didn’t sit well with many people was when Ramsey read the line that lumped DeBose as a batch of “actors who also think that they are singers,” which also included Jack Black and Ryan Gosling.

Given that DeBose is an accomplished Tony-nominated and Oscar-winning singer and actor, the joke didn’t land well. DeBose won an Academy Award for her role as Anita in Steven Spielberg’s 2021 musical film adaptation of West Side Story.

Following the moment, DeBose took to social media to react to the snub and posted, “No, I didn’t find it funny. Lol.”

Ramsey didn’t write the joke and only read it off the prompter, but many on social media were not too kind to The Last of Us star. Ramsey and DeBose hugging each other means that things are good between the two, as you can see in the photo posted below.

Jamie Lee Curtis also took to social media to express her outrage over the joke about DeBose.

“ARE YOU F-ING KIDDING ME! Ariana DeBose IS A QUEEN,” she shared on Instagram.
