Elizabeth Banks, Matthew Macfadyen to Star in Peacock Dramedy
Madix’s stint will begin with the upcoming season six, which airs exclusively on the streaming platform this summer. The announcement comes a day after Sarah Hyland shared in an Instagram story that she “will not be returning to the island this summer,” as she is currently “committed to an exciting project, that will be announced soon, that conflicts directly with the shooting dates for Love Island USA.”
Madix, who is a big fan of the show, had previously made cameos on the fifth season of Love Island USA and on Love Island Games. Her first appearance on the series was a couple of months after Scandoval, where she referenced her disgraced ex Tom Sandoval’s remark on the Bravo show about not having time “to watch 50 goddamn episodes of Love Island” as his reason for not being on board with Madix’s “definition of quality time.”
She warned Love Island USA contestants, “If they’re not the one for you, trust me, it’s better to find out sooner rather than later.”
Madix has kept busy since the headline-making scandal last year, when Sandoval was revealed to have cheated on her after 10 years together with their co-star and Madix’s former close friend, Rachel Leviss.
Besides her guest stint on Love Island and new hosting gig, Madix placed third on Dancing With the Stars‘ season 32, released her cocktail recipe book Single AF Cocktails: Drinks for Bad B*tches and starred as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway. She’s also in final process of opening her sandwich shop Something About Her with VPR co-star Katie Maloney.
