"It's been going on for ages. There are multiple vehicles, cops, fire and ambulance.

"Looks like they're trying to get someone out of the house. There's a man on garage roof in body armour in the back garden."

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were in attendance at around 8.30pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.45pm on Tuesday, 7 May, 2024 we were called to a report of concern for a person at a property on Cotlands Park in Longniddry.

“Officers attended and a man was arrested and taken to hosiptal for assessment.”
