Around 30,000 Evacuated in Alberta, Canada, as Over 100 Wildfires Burn

Almost 30,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes in Alberta, Canada, as wildfires continue to burn in the province.

Timelapse satellite imagery posted by CIRA shows thick smoke across Alberta from Friday to Monday morning.

On Saturday, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith declared a provincial state of emergency due to the wildfires, calling it “a difficult and stressful time for many Albertans.”
