Asda, Co-op, Waitrose and Marks and Spencer's food recalls over 'unsafe' items

Asda, Co-op, Waitrose and Marks and Spencer have issued customers with an urgent food recalls.

The supermarkets have asked customers to check their products and ensure they are not the ones affected and if so, to follow their instructions. If you have bought items from any of the above stores recently, you should check your shopping.

Asda

ASDA Succulent Cooked & Peeled King Prawns

Asda are recalling their Succulent Cooked & Peeled King Prawns. This is due to a labelling error which shows an incorrect use-by date which makes them unsafe to eat.

Use by: December 21, 2024

What should I do if I've bought this?

If you have bought this, do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund. Co-op

Coop are recalling their 20* Piece Picnic Platter as it contains sulphites which are not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.

The action taken by the company reads: "Co-op is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.

"The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product."

Waitrose

Waitrose & Partners are recalling their Waitrose Pitted Spanish Queen Olives because they may contain pieces of glass. The possible presence of glass makes this product unsafe to eat.
