Asda, Tesco and Waitrose issue food recall alerts due to blue cloth, plastic and metal risks

Three major retailers have issued urgent food recall alerts to their customers, with the Food Standards Agency (FSA) warning that the affected products could pose a serious health risk.

Itsu, the popular British East-Asian inspired food chain, is recalling its Sizzling Pork Gyoza over concerns that packs may contain pieces of plastic. The product can be found in Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's.

Waitrose said one of their dairy products may contain pieces of blue cloth while Tesco is also pulling a popular ice cream stick from the shelves because of the possible presence of plastic and metal. Meanwhile, Asda is alerting shoppers to a labelling error on packs of fish which shows an incorrect use-by date, making them unsafe to eat.
