Ashfield general election 2024 results in full

Voters in Ashfield have gone to the ballot box in the general election 2024.

A new Member of Parliament is being elected for the Nottinghamshire constituency which includes the Ashfield wards of Abbey Hill; Annesley & Kirkby Woodhouse; Ashfields; Carsic; Central & New Cross; Huthwaite & Brierley; Jacksdale; Kingsway; Kirkby Cross & Portland; Larwood; Leamington; St. Mary’s; Selston; Skegby; Stanton Hill & Teversal; Summit; Sutton Junction & Harlow Wood; The Dales and Underwood and the Mansfield wards of Lindhurst; Pleaseley; Rufford and Sherwood.

Ahead of the general election the MP for the constituency was Lee Anderson, who was elected as a Conservative in 2019 but joined Reform UK in March 2024.

The shock summer general election was called by Rishi Sunak on May 22, with elections taking place in all 650 seats across the UK. Since the 2019 general election major boundary changes affecting 90% of Parliamentary constituencies have come into force.

Ahead of the election, a Conservative government had been in power in Parliament since 2010.

Polls closed in the general election 2024 at 10pm on Thursday, July 4, with counts taking place overnight. Results from across the UK are expected in the early hours of Friday morning.
