CambridgeshireLive went out to speak to voters in the city to see what matters to them ahead of the polls.

Izzy, who has grown up just outside Peterborough, said she wanted the next government to make the city a nice place to be in. The 20-year-old said: “I want the social spaces to be improved”

Similarly Lewis Richardson said that he hopes the new government “sorts out all the vape shops.”

Lewis also addressed the ‘random’ shops that don't seem to serve a purpose or suit the demographic of Peterborough. Another one of his concerns was that he doesn't feel safe walking home at night.

Asked about Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer, the feedback was displeased and disengaged. Lewis said: “I don't have many words for them."
