Yahoo News Aston Villa are favourites to seal three transfers as Unai Emery prepares for Champions League
Unai Emery, Monchi and the rest of the Aston Villa recruitment department will be looking how they can improve the Claret & Blues’ squad for what will be one of the most exciting seasons in decades.
A fourth placed Premier League finish ensured Emery’s men have Champions League football to look forward to in the 2024/25 campaign, representing a first foray into Europe’s elite tournament since the early 1980s.
Villa’s squad was ravaged by injuries last season and the club know they will find the next campaign even tougher given the extra demands on their squad.
As a result they are not only working through their ideal recruits but they are at the heart of a maelstrom of speculation linking them with all kinds of transactions. As things stand they are favourites to secure three deals according to bookmakers SkyBet.

That’s not to say they are the only three they are looking at, nor that the three they mention will even happen, it’s just a snapshot of the top names doing the rounds.
According to them Villa are fifth favourites at 9/1 for Leeds slarlet Crysencio Summerville, behind Chelsea, Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Tottenham. They are also seventh in the odds for new England winger Eberechi Eze, fifth at 16/1 for team-mate Michael Olise and fourth at 14/1 for Morgan Gibbs-White.
