Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery has named his starting XI to take on Lille for this evening's Europa Conference League quarter-final second leg clash at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

He has opted to make two changes from the side which beat Arsenal 2-0 last Sunday. In come Douglas Luiz and Matty Cash for Diego Carlos and Morgan Rogers. Alex Moreno is not included in the squad after sustaining up a calf injury.

Emery's side have a one-goal advantage after beating the French club 2-1 at Villa Park last week. Ollie Watkins and John McGinn scored either side of half-time, before Bafode Diakite halved the deficit in the 84th minute.

Lille have won 29 of their last 38 home matches in all competitions, losing just once. The hosts will be fresher than Villa after they were allowed to miss last weekend's domestic duties, giving them a better chance of boosting France's UEFA coefficient.

From back to front, Emi Martinez starts in goal for Villa behind a defence of Cash, Ezri Konsa, Pau Torres and Lucas Digne. Luiz will operate alongside Youri Tielemans in midfield.

Nicolo Zaniolo will play from the left and Diaby on the right as John McGinn plays in an advanced role, supporting Ollie Watkins in attack.

Villa XI: Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Pau, Digne, Luiz, Tielemans, Diaby, Zaniolo, McGinn, Watkins.

Subs: Olsen, Gauci, Carlos, Lenglet, Duran, Rogers, Kelser-Hayden, Bailey, Iroegbunam, Munroe, Kellyman.

Lille XI: Chevalier, Tiago Santos, Diakite, Yoro, Ismaily, Andre, Bentaleb, Yazici, Haraldsson, Gudmundsson, David.

Subs: Mannone, Ngrel, Alexsandro, Gomes, Cabella, Ounas, Cavaleiro, Morais, Bouaddi, Toure, Ferrah.
