Atlanta Man Fatally Shot, Robbed by Group Who Then Stole Dog in ‘Targeted Attack’
Atlanta police have offered a $2,000 reward for information on the shooting death of 44-year-old Samuel “JR” Harris
An Atlanta man was killed during a robbery by a group of people who police say are still at large.
Samuel “JR” Harris, 44, was walking with his dog Tequilla when he was fatally shot by a group around 8 p.m. Monday, according to a press release shared by the Atlanta Police Department. Police said the suspects then allegedly stole his dog.
Police are now asking for the public’s help in locating and identifying the group, who they believe targeted Harris. A reward of $2,000 is also being offered by police.
Lea Harris, Harris’ wife, is now mourning the loss of her husband and is hoping someone can come forward with information about his killing.

"All I hear is that laugh, that laugh is definitely going to be missed," Lea told Fox 5 Atlanta.
As the investigation continues, Liz Robinson, Harris’ sister, also hopes her brother’s dog can be found.
“If you can bring that dog back to my family, we would be so grateful,” she told the outlet, noting that the animal's recovery would at least provide them with a "piece" of Harris.
