Police update after Audi smashes into Stoke-on-Trent bus stop

Police have issued an update after an Audi smashed into a bus stop in Sneyd Green. Officers closed the road following the incident on Milton Road on Thursday (June 27).

Residents reported hearing an 'almighty loud bang' as the black Audi ploughed into the bus stop. Images from the scene show glass strewn across the pavement after the car mounted the kerb.

Police said no-one was injured in the incident which occurred shortly after 7.30pm. Residents told StokeonTrentLive a recovery vehicle later arrived after police closed off the road at the junction with Noblett Road.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We were called just after 7.30pm yesterday (Thursday 27 June) to reports of a collision in Stoke-on-Trent.

"An Audi collided with a bus stop on Milton Road, Sneyd Green. Fortunately, no one was injured and recovery was arranged."
