Australian Country Road Becomes Fish Crossing as River Floods in Forbes, New South Wales

Fish were seen attempting to cross a submerged road in Forbes, New South Wales, as flooding caused the Lachlan River to swell on November 18.

The Bureau of Meteorology said “near major” flooding occurred at Forbes on Thursday, as the river’s level reached 10.53 metres.

Flooding earlier in the week prompted the State Emergency Service to issue an evacuation order for low-lying areas of the Central West country town.
