Australian, Japanese and US Air Forces Participate in Annual 'Operation Christmas Drop'

The US Air Force has once again joined forces with the Japan Air Self-Defense Force and the Royal Australian Air Force for the annual Operation Christmas Drop, which delivers supplies to remote communities in the western Pacific Ocean.

The initiative runs from December 8-17, according to information shared by the Department of Defense.

Bundles containing food, water, toys, medical and educational supplies will be dropped from low-altitude onto the Northern Marianas, Micronesia, and Palau ahead of the holiday period. Credit: DVIDS via Storyful
