Ava Phillippe has some sharp words for those criticizing her appearance.

On May 3, the influencer and artist, 24, shared a post on her Instagram Stories calling out some of her social media followers who had commented on her body.

"Bodyshaming is toxic behavior," she wrote over a photo of her and her dog, Benji, posing for the camera. "(Asked Benji and he agrees)."

"So maybe just... don't do that??" she added.

Phillippe's comments come on the heels of another social media post that she shared on TikTok, also calling out some commenters who had a bit too much to say about her appearance.

Setting the short video to "Just a Girl" by No Doubt, Phillippe — who is the daughter of actors Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe — said that she had hit a major milestone in a woman's life.

"[No big deal] but I just achieved a major milestone as a woman online..." she wrote over the clip, which showed her posing candidly in a bathroom mirror. "I saw two different strangers commenting on my body."

"The first said I should get on [Ozempic] because I'm too fat..." Ava wrote over the video, as she began applying lipstick in the mirror. "The second accused me of starving myself because I'm too thin..."

"My weight did not change in the time period between their comments," she added, noting that "it wouldn't be any of their business if it did!"

"It's such bullsh--," she continued, purposefully drawing the lipstick across her face as the song entered its chorus.

"No one deserves to be picked apart for what they look like. You don't always know what someone's gone through or what they struggle with," Ava wrote at the end of the clip. "But no matter who you are... your beauty exceeds superficial measures.

"Pretty is as pretty does, babes...& bodyshaming is simply toxic behavior," she captioned the post with a kiss emoji, adding the hashtag "#loveyouasyouare."

Ava also took a moment to add a disclaimer, noting that she's seen these comments being aimed "disproportionately to young girls & women," and adding a clarification: "But let me be clear; bodyshaming is toxic no matter who the subject is. We all deserve to feel safe & at peace in the vessel we live in."

This is not the first time Ava has spoken out about invasive questions online. Back in 2022, she clapped back at commenters whom she said were making "bigoted" and "hateful" remarks towards her, just days after she responded to a fan during an Instagram Q&A when asked about her sexuality.

"Do u like boys or girls?" the fan asked, to which Ava casually responded, "I'm attracted to… people! (Gender is whatever)."

In December 2021, Ava spoke with E! News about her approach to social media, explaining that she considers lots of different criteria when sharing posts, especially what it might mean to her followers.

"What is that going to mean to somebody else? What does it mean to me? Is this helpful? Is it important? Is it charitable? Is it something I want the world to see from me?" she said at the time.

"I do have a platform of some sort, for sure, and I want to be conscious of what I am posting," she added. "I might not always get it right but I'm always going to try my best to put good out there."
