Avril Lavigne at Glastonbury 2024 - stage, time, setlist, clashes and more
With a career spanning more than 20 years, it's hard to believe that 2024 will be Avril Lavigne's first appearance at Glastonbury. The Complicated and Sk8er Boi singer is releasing her greatest hits album on June 21 - just days before her debut at Worthy Farm.
The Canadian pop-rock icon's performance will be another stop in a UK and Europe tour to promote the new release. Avril shot to fame with the release of her first album Let Go back in 2002, following it up with another six studio albums.
The 39-year-old's most recent album, Love Sux, came out in February 2022. NME called it a "progressive pop-punk album that eschews the old rules – but not at the expense of maximalist, joyful guitar anthems".

Ahead of her trip to Somerset, Avril has been addressing bizarre internet rumours that she was replaced by a body double called Melissa in 2003. She said on podcast Call Her Daddy: "I mean, it’s just funny to me. On one end, everyone’s like, ‘Oh my god, you look the exact same, you haven’t aged a day.’ But then other people are like, you know… There’s a conspiracy theory that I’m not me.”
She added with a thumbs up: “Cool. Honestly, it’s not that bad. It could be worse, right?! I feel like I got a good one! I don’t think it’s negative. We’re good!”
