The award winning Surrey garden centre with new outdoor dining area and children’s playground

The Priory Farm Garden Centre just got a lot bigger. The Nutfield farm estate has been serving the gardening community for more than 40 years and recently announced a large expansion doubling the space for its customers.

Just in time for peak growing season the garden centre opened its new facilities last month. The new and improved centre means the farm shop now stocks a much wider range of plants and as well as some exciting new features.

With more space for customers to roam, shoppers will have space to browse through a selection of gardening equipment. The upgraded accessibility, stunning rockery, and seating area nestled beneath the beautiful hand-forged tree offer a serene atmosphere for customers to explore and relax.

As well as the flowers, Priory Farm Garden Centre also has an award-winning farm shop. Named Surrey Life Farm Shop of the Year in 2014, 2016 and 2018 as well as Muddy Stiletto's Best Farm Shop/Deli in 2022 it sells a selection of fruit, veg, meat and deli treats.

Whether you are a seasoned horticulturist or just starting your gardening journey, we have everything you need to make your outdoor spaces thrive".

Recent developments have also included an eagerly anticipated outdoor dining area and children’s play area. The alfresco setting means that families can eat and play just next door to the garden cafe.

A beloved red tractor has made its return to the play area, bringing with it lots of nostalgia. The cafe serves a range of all day breakfast options as well as burgers and toasties. There is also a children’s menu that includes hot food as well as a cold lunch box selection.

Started by the Shinner family in 1957, the Priory Farm Estate covers more than 100 acres which includes woodland and lakes. Throughout the grounds there is a family nature trail, Discovery Land, that welcomes visitors at all times of the year. Entrance to Discovery Land is between £4 and £6 and passes through a fairy city, giants chair and lake of hungry fish.

Mr Edwards added: "Our Garden Centre expansion is now open and we look forward to welcoming visitors throughout the season."
